Sorry, can't help you there as I'm not even sure exactly what the "linky" thing was!
A lot of blogs don't have them, and sometimes Blogger just goes on strike. It wouldn't let me comment at two other blogs today. You can always link manually, but it's more trouble.
I never used it when it was there. I would guess maybe Blogger is working on it or decided they don't like it.It might be back before you read this!Have a safe New Year's Eve and a Blessed New Year!
